Chinese porcelains

Since the late sixteenth century the Dutch have imported porcelains and works of art from China. Chinese porcelain has always been popular in Holland. So through the ages some beautiful and important collections have been formed here.

European antiques

Oil paintings, watercolours, antiques and works of art, like Meissen porcelain, Delft earthenware and tiles, Dutch silver, English and French furniture, mirrors and clocks, ranging from the 17th to the 20th century.

Asian works of art

Thanks to the VOC (Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie / Dutch East India Company) wonderful and exotic treasures were brought to Europe in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

Ever since, but especially in the nineteenth century, there has been an eager group of collectors of Indonesian and Japanese works of art.
