Why not sell your art and antiques
directly to an antique dealer?
We buy antiques directly from private owners. Buying antiques is an important part of what we do. We are continually looking for interesting objects for our international clientele.
Do you have antiques, works of art or a collection that you would like to sell? Send us a few photographs, the dimensions and — if known — any information about the object’s provenance. We can usually tell you quickly whether the object is of interest to us and what we are prepared to pay for it.
What we look for
- Chinese and Japanese porcelain and works of art;
- European antiques, particularly Dutch and French antiques, including Delftware, tiles, furniture, mirrors, clocks and various smaller objects;
- Silver and gold, from the Netherlands and internationally;
- Paintings, watercolours and drawings.
We are interested in both individual objects and complete collections, estates and household contents.
Clear and fair
When we are interested in an object, we are glad to discuss it with you directly. We examine the object carefully and then make a suitable offer, so that you know exactly where you stand before you decide.
If you accept our offer, the sale is settled straight away and you receive the agreed amount.
In setting our price we look at quality, rarity, condition and the current market value. Naturally we also take our own costs and a reasonable margin into account.
Personal and confidential
Every enquiry is treated personally and confidentially. From photographs, we can often make an initial assessment. For larger collections or household contents, we are happy to arrange an appointment to view the objects in person.
You do not need to know which objects are valuable. If something is not of interest to us, we would rather tell you plainly than leave you waiting unnecessarily.

Egbert Ott Antiques is the fourth generation of a family that has been active in fine art and antiques since 1890. Over the years, we have sold to international antique dealers, private collectors and museums.
